And so I find myself back here with yet another empty canvas. This is approximately my 87th attempt at blogging—okay maybe not 87, but definitely more than five—and this time, I still have no idea how this will play out, but God help me, I just have to keep trying.

While I don’t like to live in the past, one of the things I miss most about my younger self is my fearlessness. The older I got, the more self-conscious I got about sounding right and being clever, and it took the joy out of just being myself. Today, I consider this latest attempt at writing at finding that spark inside me again.

That photo up there was taken by Odin a few weeks ago. We finally got his old film camera fixed and that shot was the first he took from a new roll of film. Turns out it actually makes for a pretty appropriate image to start this new project.

Here’s hoping this one sticks.
